Autoware at X-Change 2012
Monday,April 16 2012

X-Change 2012 started yesterday in Sun City. The event is a definitive window to the industrial automation landscape and brings together more industry professionals than any other event in South Africa. System integrators, hardware and software suppliers, end-users and international industrial automation authorities come together to X-Change ideas, network and collaborate at what is widely regarded as South Africa’s premier industrial event.

Event even more important if you think that this year celebrates the 20th anniversary and in this crucial year, X-Change 2012 will host the full range of solutions, Invensys Operations Management.

Autoware certainly could not miss this great international event and the Eng. Luigi De Bernardini, CEO of Autoware, will present today (Monday, April 16 2012) and tomorrow (Wednesday, April 17 2012): "Pastas Gallo - a success story in implementing Corporate Energy Management”, a testimony that will show you how Pastas Gallo, Spanish leader in the production of dry and fresh pasta, has implemented with Autoware an Energy Management solution based on the "Corporate Energy Management" package of Wonderware. The system replaced a competitor's energy management product, which didn’t provide the information necessary to completely understand how the costs of energy consumption could be related to each stage of production and what was the energy intensity of each product. The new solution developed by Autoware has been integrated with a MES based on existing Wonderware PEM and has already begun to give significant results within the first 2 to 3 weeks of operation, allowing to have a detailed knowledge of energy profile of the plant which has led to optimize production planning taking account of energy consumption; start a process of energy saving and reducing costs based on continuous improvement and taking into account the standards EN 50001 16001/ISO. A case history really successful, where the customer has repeatedly demonstrated his satisfaction with several statements, such as: "Autoware was a competent and effective partner in implementing our Energy Management System. They were able to understand our needs and to propose innovative solutions based on their experience. The result is a business oriented Energy Management System that provides us information to improve our process efficiency and implement energy saving initiatives.
