Commissioning is the phase of installation and start-up of a technical supply, and of verification that it is complying with specifications. An effective phase of commissioning, however, cannot be limited only to the control of the correct technical operation, independently of all the other aspects necessary to make a supply effective.
So for Autoware, commissioning means:
- Verification of the product quality;
- Verification of operational efficiency of the supply;
- Verification of achievement of the productivity target;
- Verification of the economic viability of the process.
While the first element (quality) is a need that cannot be foregone, which the customer takes for granted to a certain extent, even at the time of ordering, the other elements impose an activity of monitoring, control and continuous refinement during start up of the production, in order to optimise the various aspects of the process, until the targets defined in the planning phase of the project are achieved. For this reason, Autoware technicians have the ability to become “technologists” in the commissioning phase and true partners for the customer’s technical structure.
