According to the American Engineers Council for Professional Development, “Engineering” means: “The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, equipment, productive processes or plants that use them separately or in association; or to build or operate the same, with a complete knowledge of their project; or to foresee their behaviour under specific operational conditions.”

For Autoware “Engineering” means exactly this: “to translate the needs of our customers into operational solutions that allow them to solve the problems in a reliable way in time, allowing them to concentrate on the business and on production, rather than on the management of production lines.”
