Autoware celebrates its first twenty years
Autoware: Twenty years of solutions in support of the Italian manufacturing companies.
On 27 May 1996 was born Autoware. Twenty years have passed since that day. Twenty years of commitment, dedication, enthusiasm and successes.
Autoware organized an event entitled “The digitalization of production processes: from automation to the Smart Manufacturing” May 20th to celebrate . The event, the third of the “Operational Excellence” series, started from the awareness that in recent years some digital tools for the control of production have become essential. Starting from PLC to SCADA and to the MES systems, the integration of the various levels from the shop floor to ERP has gradually become pervasive. The aim was to shed light on these issues, bringing the excellent testimonies of those who have direct experience and vision on the ongoing transformations.
With the valuable contributions of Prof. Flavio Tonelli (Associate Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Plant Industrial Sustainability at the University of Genua – Regional Delegates and Board Member – National Technological Cluster on Intelligent Factory), Eng. Dennis Lorenzin (VP, Network Planning & Optimization, Global Services, Nokia) and Eng. Paolo Barbara (Director of IT and Organization – Sipa Bindi), moderated by Marco Minghetti (Associate OpenKnowledge partners, Journalist Nova – Il Sole 24 Ore), the most topical issues were dealt with which manufacturing companies face daily, trying to help clarify the challenges and opportunities that await them.
An audience attentive and involved, in the beautiful contour of the room Odeo at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, has determined the success of the initiative, making this day a special day of celebration and giving us the energy to face with enthusiasm and dedication the next twenty years.
